Don’t put that on a kid for their first name, please.

Question with 3 notes

Anonymous said: My 4 year old niece's best friend from ballet class is called 'Cat', and I just assumed it was a cute shortening for a name like Caterina or Catherine or something. But when I asked her mother what her full name was, she said Catastrophe. CATASTROPHE. Mother. Fucking. Catastrophe. Part of my soul died when I heard that.

That is just a damn shame.  Poor kid.  Better stick with Cat.  It is your best option.

I don’t even know how to pronounce that, but just by looking at it, that names sounds like a type of pasta.
